The NFL makes it's annual trip to London as the Denver Broncos face off against the San Francisco 49ers.

The San Francisco 49ers finally got their first win of the season tow weeks ago but then followed it up by letting the Carolina Panthers get their first win of the year against them. Alex Smith has been the starter at QB but he hasn't made the most of his opportunity and now he is injured and doubtful for this one, making it likely David Carr will be the starter. Frank Gore has been a work horse in the backfield for the Niners rushing for 573 yards but just one touchdown. Gore is also San Francisco's leading receiver with 37 catches but Vernon Davis leads in receiving yards wit 422 yards and four touchdowns while Michael Crabtree is continuing to improve with 28 catches for 332 yards and two touchdowns.(cheap nfl jerseys ) The San Francisco defense can't be faulted for the teams record as they have played well. Patrick Willis is one of the NFL's best and he leads the 49ers in tackles with 58 and Parys Haralson and Travis LaBoy lead the team in sacks with three each. Nate Clements and Shawntae Spencer each have two interceptions as San Fran has seven total.
The Forty Niners offense averages 16.1 points and 312.6 yards per game while the defense allows 23.1 points 321.9 yards per game.

The heat was on Denver Broncos Head Coach Josh McDaniels to start the season and the team's performance on the field hasn't done anything to temper it. Last week the Broncos imploded and then were ran past, around, and over by the Oakland Raiders in one of the worst beat downs in franchise history. While it's year two of Kyle Orton under center, and his numbers aren't bad,(Titans Jersey) the numbers in the win-loss column aren't getting it done. Orton has completed 60.5 percent of his passes for 2,140 yards with 11 touchdowns with four interceptions. The Broncos running game has been weak at best with Knowshon Moreno running for 212 yards and no one else on the roster hitting even double digits. The Receiving corps has done a decent job as Jabar Gaffney has 41 receptions for 462 yards and Brandon Lloyd has 709 yards and three touchdowns. D.J. Williams leads the Denver defense with 63 tackles and three and a half sacks and Mario Hagan has 43 and Nate Jones has 36. The Broncos have just five interceptions with no player having more than one. As a team the Denver offense is averaging 19.7 points and 358.6 yards per game while the defense is allowing 28.4 points and 361.9 yards each time out.

San Francisco is 11-5-2 against the spread in their last 18 games following a loss, 1-4 against the spread in their last five overall, and 7-2-3 against the spread in their last 12 games following a game which hey didn't cover. Denver is 4-10 against the spread in their last 14 games following a loss, 7-20-1 against the spread in their last 28 games against(2011 super bowl jerseys) a team with a losing record, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall.

Disappointment is too soft of a word when we talk about the way San Francisco's season has gone and on the other side of the ball it could be one foot out the door for the Broncos' coaching staff who has made plenty of questionable personnel decisions which aren't working out. It might be a good thing that this game is at a neutral site as it would be hard for ticket buying long supporting fans of either of these teams to have much more faith in either of them. I think the 49ers defense is good enough to hold Denver down and(Tennessee Titans Jersey) this should be a low scoring game, low enough that the Niners score enough to win.
